4th Legislation Consultations Completed

The 4th consultations on VIPA’s draft legislation with its parent ministry, Ministry of Trade and Commerce, was completed this morning.

The VIPA team led by the Acting CEO and the IFC representative, Jimmy Andeng, presented the final amendments that the Management had incorporated into the draft Bill to the Ministry’s department representatives.

The Ministry was pleased in the progress of the legislation consultations so far and has encouraged VIPA to review and finalize comments and suggestions where necessary and proceed to present the draft Bill to the private sector and the public.

The Ministry is adamant that the Bill be passed in November, the final parliamentary session for 2017.

VIPA will announce the date for the legislation consultation with the private sector in the coming weeks.
