Two VIPA Officers attended the training conducted in Nadi, Fiji from 23-25 September 2019. This is regional course and participants from other pacific island countries also attended. The training offers in-depth and comprehensive seminars and discussions on risk management as an important and integral strategic component of planning and management tools and processes in an organization. Given the complex and fast changing business environment, to become aware of the risks associated with such developments is critical. It is therefore urgent that organizations such as VIPA improve its approach in managing risk in order to meet the demands of a fast evolving business environment.

Capacity building has been and will remain a strategic priority for VIPA to ensure its staff are ready to meet these changes and continue to deliver to meet the customers’ needs.

A key take away from the training is to make sure that a risk management framework is incorporated into VIPA’s current strategic plans and business processes.
