Vanuatu is ranked 94 among 190 economies in the ease of doing business, according to the latest World Bank annual ratings. The rank of Vanuatu deteriorated to 94 in 2018 from 90 in 2017. Ease of Doing Business in Vanuatu averaged 79.09 from 2008 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 96 in 2014 and a record low of 57 in 2008.
According to World Bank income grouping categories, Vanuatu belonged to “Low Middle Income” category which includes neighboring countries such as PNG, Solomon islands, Kiribati and Micronesia.
