Promoting Vanuatu Made products on Vanuatu Market Day 2020
Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Agency took part in the Vanuatu Made Day hosted by the Department of Industry at the Seafront Feiawa Park.
The event was one of the many key events being organized to commemorate Vanuatu’s 40th Independence Celebrations and was held from the 27th to the 29th of July 2020.
The Vanuatu Made week is held annually to showcase products that are made in Vanuatu and is a platform for many start-up businesses to show case their products and talents.
VFIPA’s participation in the event is a first for the Agency however it marks a beginning for the Agency to be able to connect what foreign investors who come to Vanuatu are able to produce and manufacture locally and export as Vanuatu Made Products.
Although the booth turnout was not as frequent with visitors as the team expected, the Agency is committed to continue to increase knowledge and understanding of what foreign direct investment can bring for Vanuatu especially in terms of increasing and adding value to products, contributing to the manufacturing and industries sector and overall boosting country productivity which in turn can close the trade deficit gap that the country’s economy currently has.
VFIPA is planning on hosting an Investor Forum that will support this message and continue to promote Vanuatu Made products at the forefront to showcase the capabilities of production that Vanuatu has.
Further details to the Investment Forum will be made available as soon as information is finalized.
