Number of new covid-19 cases
Two new active cases of covid-19 were confirmed in Vanuatu on the 06th of March 2021. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases detected in Vanuatu since the beginning of the global pandemic to three (3). Both cases were now in the quarantine facility under the care supervision of the front-line health workers in Vanuatu. In response to the two cases, the country is now in SCENARIO 2A (One or more cases detected in quarantine (border cases).
For precautionary measures, the VFIPA strong advises its customers and everyone to continue practicing social distancing, hand washing regularly with soap and hand sanitizer, avoid shaking hands or hugging, including avoiding social gathering.
The Ministry of Health, together with the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office, and with supports from other government line agencies will continue to monitor and apply proper infection prevention and control procedures for the safety of everyone. Maintaining a safe and healthy environment at work remain top priority for Vanuatu Foreign Investor Promotion Agency (VFIPA) which rely on the hard work of both employees and management Team.
