Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Team Facilitates Establishment of Western Global University in Partnership with Vanuatu Agriculture College
The Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Team is pleased to announce the initiation of the registration process for Western Global University, in partnership with the Vanuatu Agriculture College. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in enhancing educational opportunities in Vanuatu.
Western Global University, a prestigious institution with a global presence, is renowned for offering a diverse range of programs across its various campuses worldwide. In Vanuatu, the university will provide bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business management, catering to the growing demand for higher education in these fields.
A memorandum of agreement between Western Global University and the Vanuatu Agriculture College is currently in progress. Upon the signing of this agreement, the registration process will proceed, solidifying this partnership. This development represents a major achievement for Vanuatu, providing students with the opportunity to further their education and pursue their academic and professional goals in business management.
Education is a key priority sector for the Government in which a lot of attention and resources have been made towards achieving the objectives this sector has in line with the Governments NSDP 2030. Demonstrating its commitment, the government has allocated up to 10% (on average) of its annual expenditure budget to this sector. The Agency is happy to facilitate this investment and believes will contribute to the country’s education sector.
It took the Agency quiet a while to get this far and would like to thank all the stakeholders with whom we have communicated to consider this opportunity. Our sincere appreciation to the CEO of the VAC for agreeing to partner with WGU. This achievement demonstrates the Agency’s strategic commitment to a targeted and focussed facilitation approach it has established in response to the changing strategies of foreign investors.
The Agency will continue to provide updates on this development as information becomes available, so keep checking our website.
