We celebrated this year’s PSC Day with the theme “Strengthen Government Decentralized Services through Innovative Approach," to highlight the government commitment to enhancing local governance through creativity and collaboration.
The Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (VFIPA) office in Santo participated with the aims - to raise awareness about the roles of VFIPA, the importance of FDI in Vanuatu and showcasing our newly online registry which is now in full operation.
Over the 3-day period, our Senior Investment Officer Northern Region and the student casuals participated in the celebration, held at the Unity Park from 28-30 August, 2024.
In preparation for PSC Day, brochures, info graphics & reports were prepared by our staffs to showcase our work and the country’s development priorities. With the limited number of staffs in Santo, we have hired the service of student casuals to assist with our promotional effort which in return introduce students to the investment field and other development career pathways.
In this three-day event, our approach focused more on:
- VFIPA Visibility: After a year of our office closer we use this opportunity to raise awareness about the reopening of it in Santo and to gain back the confidence of our local and foreign investors as we will once again be the engagement and communication hub for foreign investments in the northern region.
- Our roles: We raised awareness on our mission to promote and facilitate foreign investments and also demonstrated that the agency is committed to supporting investors through every stage of their investment journey.
- Query: We assisted students and general public on career talk, information gathering, queries or specific request for support.
- Embracing Digital Innovation: Online Registry (MIS): Our online registry is on displayed for all and we also led interested clients through the step-by-step instructions to make most out of their experience with our system.
- Panel Discussions: On the last day of the celebration, our Northern Region Senior Investment Officer have participated in the panel discussion which centered around the PSC Day 2024’s theme. The VFIPA Santo believes the theme is timely given the current economic and financial situation that requires innovation and pro-active approaches to enhancing business environments and boosting economic developments.
As the PSC Day celebration ended, VFIPA Santo looks forward to a productive and friendly collaboration with key stakeholders in Sanma in promoting and facilitating foreign investments in the northern provinces of Vanuatu.
