Reeves International expanding operations to Vanuatu targeting infrastructure projects

The company is proposing to invest nearly VT5 billion in construction and other infrastructure projects

The expansion of Reeves International into Vanuatu is the product of Australia and Vanuatu relations more specifically the assistance to the Vanuatu Police Force in terms of improving their assets and resources. The company will be carrying out the upgrade of the Cooks Barracks and Tiroas Barracks on Santo as their initial project in Vanuatu, a project worth VT4.5 billion.

Given the crisis caused by the pandemic, the granting of an investment approval by the Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Agency to Reeves International is a huge relief in terms of maintaining continuity in business activities, contributing to cash flow and enhancing infrastructural growth of key developments in the country.

Total announced jobs to be created by the company for the locals is approximately 240. This is good news for the domestic economy as the current level of unemployment is already becoming a concern for the Government. More specifically, Reeves International will be upgrading the VMF barracks and related facilities and will be in joint venture with Icon Construction.
