French investors already on the ground are making significant contributions to Vanuatu's development priorities

In his presentation during the “La Foire du Pacifique (Pacific Trade Show) and Wik Blong Vanuatu in Noumea, 3 – 7 October 2025”, VFIPA CEO VUTI strongly embraced all French investors who are already on the ground and encouraged potential investors to consider Vanuatu as their next investment location if they are planning on expanding their existing business operations or investing in a new project.

As the 3rd FDI source market for Vanuatu, benefits offered by investments from France are significant and have contributed to the ongoing developments and achievement of the Government’s priority objectives. For example, in 2024 we have 61 French-owned business and creating more than 200 jobs for the locals with total investments worth up to VT1 Billion Vatu and more than VT900 Million Vatu annual turn over. Including other revenues paid directly to the Government, this is huge contribution – “VFIPA CEO Mr Vuti added”.

In encouraging French investors to consider Vanuatu as their next investment location, new Government regulations and policy including the lifting of the building construction activity from the reserved to an open investment activity and economic hub and economic corridor – are some of the good news announced by Mr. Vuti during his presentation.

The Vanuatu Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (VFIPA) comprised of Raymond Vuti (CEO) and Lashie Tom, Investment Facilitation Officer is part a whole of Government & Private Sector delegation from Vanuatu attending these two major events, coordinated by the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI).
The La Foire du Pacifique (Pacific Trade Show) and Week Blong Vanuatu are timely opportunities that allow showcasing Vanuatu’s tourism, Vanuatu made products, services and opportunities to the wider Pacific and French market and promoting business and investment opportunities.

VFIPA’s attendance is timely as it embarks on preparatory activities that will contribute to implementing its recently launched investment promotion strategy. For example, a visitation to one of New Caledonia’s credible Fish Processing Company – “PESCANA” is a classic example of targeted promotion, which is a key activity of the strategy.

These events represent a unique platform to build networks, strengthen trade ties and attract new investment that will create jobs and growth for our people. Results of such engagements have been promising and we will incorporate these as leads in our CRM for ongoing follow-up with a goal of turning these leads into real investment projects.
