Our mandate
We are the first point of contact for foreign investors intending to do business in Vanuatu and its outer islands, irrespective of their size. We welcome walk-in investors and provide real-time response to inquiries via email and telephone. We provide customized information on Vanuatu’s economic structure and key industries. Based on our excellent working relations with government departments, the private sector and other business communities, we can link you with other companies as well as associations, communities, and consultants.
Our history
- In 1998, the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority (VIPA) become a corporate body and operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Trade, Commerce and Ni Vanuatu Business (MTTCNVB).
- In 2009, business start-up processes and requirements have been streamlined of which VIPA's foreign investment application approval process was one.
- In 2019, we have a new foreign investment legislation "Act n0.25 of 2019" replacing the foreign investment act [CAP 248]

We have a multidisciplinary team with sector-specific expertise, which allows us to provide prospective investors with value-added advice and information.
