Vanuatu participates in Dubai World Expo 2021
Despite border lockdown and restrictions, the Vanuatu Expo team safely arrived at the Expo Site in Dubai and the Vanuatu Pavilion is now open for all!
Vanuatu had been planning for almost 2 years for its participation with a National Expo Committee led by the Department of External Trade (Expo Commissioner's office) with the participation of key government agencies including VFIPA.
The Dubai Expo brings together participants from over 190 countries in the world and Vanuatu is proud to be showcasing in its own pavilion with unique features that will appeal to all age groups.
Promoting Vanuatu as a tourism and investment destination is part of the key messages in the Vanuatu pavilion and although the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is not a key target market for Vanuatu, it is an opportunity for Vanuatu to make connections with viable businesses, clients there and from participating countries as well.
Key Vanuatu businesses are also main participants in the expo including Tanna Coffee, Eau D'es Iles, Fine Foods Ltd, Vanuatu Bijouterie and more.
The Vanuatu Cultural Center is also playing an important role in promoting Vanuatu's cultural heritage at the expo. This will draw visitors to the pavilion to experience activities such as sand drawing and viewing of cultural artefacts.
The Expo will run for the next 6 months and the Dubai Expo Committee has provided funding support for the Vanuatu team for the duration of the 6 months.
