The Government has initiated an Economic Stimulus Package with its first phase rolling out, the Employee Stabilization Payment.

This is a form to be used by businesses with a valid business licence to apply for allocated funding to support their current employees and possibilities of re-employing laid off employees that had been put off as a result of the global COVID 19 pandemic.

The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is working in close relation with the Vanuatu Government through the Department of Finance to assist all businesses in accessing this package through their guide of the form that will be used.

One key criteria for applying for access to funding is that you are an employer with a bank account and Business License and paying staff VNPF through your company during the month of March.

The VCCI has recently launched a Business Support Center that will also provide assistance to employers during this process as well as carrying out other important functions.
